Please note that travellers from outside the Northern Territory will be required to obtain a travel permit prior to entering NT. In order to obtain a travel permit, please complete this online form within 72 hours prior to travel. This applies for visitors arriving from outside NT as well as from overseas.
A copy of your completed border entry form, in printed form, as well as evidence that you have not been in a hotspot for the past 15 days (I.e. credit card statements) will need to be shown to Jetstar staff and a Voyages COVID-19 safety officer as you board the plane. If you don’t show your NT border arrival form you cannot board the plane. This is an important form and it’s essential that you answer honestly. If you’re found to have provided misleading information on your arrival form you could face a fine of $5,056 for an individual, $25,280 for a business and a possible prison term of up to three years.
When you arrive at Ayers Rock Airport, the NT border arrivals team will process your border entry form and may ask you additional questions. You will be required to sign the declaration in front of an authorised officer.
Anyone arriving into Yulara (Connellan Airport) from or through a declared COVID-19 hotspot in the last 15 days will be directed to undertake 14 days mandatory supervised quarantine in Alice Springs, at your cost of $2500 per person. Please note this is an alcohol free quarantine facility. There may be additional costs for travel from Yulara into Alice Springs. People in supervised quarantine will be subject to testing before exiting quarantine. Anyone refusing a test will have 10 days added to their quarantine time and additional costs.
